Healthy well adjusted children

  Question

Should my children be seeing a chiropractor?

Your child’s spine protects the spinal cord which contains billions of nerve fibers sending messages and energy from the brain to every part of their body.

Chiropractic care for my child? Why? He is not complaining about his back.

Chiropractors frequently encounter parents who appreciate the importance of regular checkups for their child’s teeth and eyes but draw a blank when it comes to a spinal checkup. The fact is, the health of the spine is extremely important for your overall well-being.

Your child’s spine protects the spinal cord which contains billions of nerve fibers sending messages and energy from the brain to every part of their body. Any blockage of the nerves along the spinal cord interferes with the nerves function and can cause lowered resistance and body malfunction. Tiny restrictions and misalignments of the spinal vertebrae, known as subluxations are the most common cause of this nerve interference.

Subluxations in the spine can be caused by the stress of childbirth and the constant jumping, falling and bumping of normal childhood. Add to this poor posture, heavy backpacks and emotional stress and you have many reasons why a child should have their spine checked by the spinal health professional-the chiropractor.

As a minimum, bring your kids to the chiropractor a few times per year. Chiropractic adjustments are gentle and safe and adapted to each individual. Children tend to have stronger resistance to illness and to have better posture with regular chiropractic care.

Remember that the best approach when it comes to your child’s health is to prevent problems before they occur. Therefore, to help your family reach their optimum health potential, take care of their spine as you would their eyes or teeth. Seek out a local chiropractor for your family.
