Marriage Counselling and Couples Counselling

  • Have you ever felt like your relationship with your partner, husband or wife is stuck? Do you feel that you don't listen to each other and that you are constantly going nowhere? Couples or Marriage Counselling can help you reconnect to each other and learn new ways of communicating. For couples or spouses who have decided that their relationship must end, counselling can help with providing an ending which is experienced as mutually respectful. A healthy ending also minimizes the long-term impact that divorce and separation can have on children. Standard sessions for couples are 1.5 hours long. For more information visit: Marriage and Couples Counselling

Individual Therapy and Counselling

  • Individual therapy can focus on any issue or problem you are experiencing or have lived with that you would like to change. Individual therapy is a way to gain understanding, and can help you to change your behaviours, feelings and/or thoughts. Personal growth through individual therapy can also improve your relationships, whether they are with your partner/spouse, family members, friends, and co-workers, this also includes improving your relationship with yourself.

Family Therapy and Counselling

  • Family counselling can be beneficial when problems within or outside the family impact the family as a whole. For parents with children and/or youths, issues of diverging parenting styles may compound parenting effectiveness, communication, as well as your child's behaviour at home and at school. Alternatively, difficulties at school and other social problems can impact upon parents and siblings. In today's society many children are living at home longer which can be a challange for Families. Counselling can help to restore a healthy level of functioning and harmony for all.

Comprehesive Client After Care

  • Aftercare is an important part of therapy that is often overlooked. Clients are now being offered a free six month follow-up session to help maintain and evaluate the progress made during therapy. Additionally, clients may now access the new client web Library and Article sections. In addition clients will receive the newsletter Mind, Body & Mood during and after therapy which provides up to date and ongoing access to supportive and valuable health care resources and information.
