A Tread Powerfully® class will take you through a series of “moving circuits” either on a treadmill, or along an outdoor route. Using hand weights, you will focus on upper body strengthening, while power walking your way through controlled lower body and core strengthening exercises.

Often we treat how our bodies operate as a mystery, taking them for granted, and assuming they will always be there for us.
Many of us focus on energy intake, reading about what we should eat to create balance in our bodies. While this is important, we also need to consider how we expend that food energy in a way that is effective, and in turn will inspire us to make even better food choices.

High Calorie Burn
During a 60-minute Tread Powerfully® class, you will elevate your heart rate into its target zone by using your entire body.
Your shoulders will be back, your arms will be pumping, and your core and abdominals will be engaged and contracted.
Your movements will be deliberate, and you’ll be firing on all cylinders, burning calories along the way.
But in order for your body to function effectively long after the class is over, it needs to focus on more than just calories burned during class.
Muscle Building
During every Tread Powerfully® class, you will work on building muscle in your upper and lower bodies. Using hand weights as you move through the circuit, you will work every major muscle group. As you build muscle, your body will need to use more energy in order to sustain itself and its newly defined muscles.
Now your body will be working harder, and continue to burn even more calories throughout your day (even while you sleep!).
