Virtual reality and the treatment of anxiety disorders

This talk was given by Professor Drapeau from McGill University as part of the McGill Mini series presented on Canal Savoir. In this lecture for the general public, Dr. Drapeau presents how video games can be used to develop new strategies for the treatment of anxiety disorders. Also known as cyberpsychology, this new branch of psychology offers promise for individuals who wish to overcome their anxiety but have had difficulty in implementing in vivo exposure.
