Laurie Burrows is a Registered Holistic Nutritionist and honours graduate of the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition. She also holds Bachelor degrees in Psychology and Education. Laurie developed her passion for educating others while pursuing a career in teaching and soon discovered her other passions: fitness and nutrition.
After becoming a Certified Fitness Instructor and personal trainer, Laurie pursued a career in holistic nutrition and now teaches her clients that in addition to exercise, they must nurture and fuel the body with healthy food choices in order to thrive. As the mother of two growing and active teenagers, Laurie set out to prove that eating whole, fresh and nutritious food is truly delicious and easier than you think!
In her practice, Laurie shares this opinion (and a few recipes!) with her clients and focuses on the goal of creating an ideal balance between mind, body and soul through lifestyle and food choices. By delving into the root causes of issues she believes that symptoms of pre-existing health conditions can be alleviated, vitality and health can be improved and disease can be prevented. Laurie’s approach to health through holistic nutrition empowers her clients to embrace each day, whatever it brings, and to take control of their personal wellness. Clients quickly learn to embrace the humour and truth in Laurie’s philosophy: If life gives you lemons, make lemonade…. minus the sugar, of course!
