Can chiropractic treatments cure colds and earaches?

Chiropractic adjustments might not cure colds, but they can help promote health

While studies have shown chiropractic care to be beneficial to the immune system, the simple answer is no. Chiropractic treatments are not designed to “cure” any condition but instead are designed to impact global health via correction of vertebral subluxations – spinal misalignments that disturb normal nervous system function.

Since the integrity and efficiency of the nervous system is directly proportional to the quality of health and optimal function the body experiences, one can plainly see how chiropractic really shines in the health promotion and disease prevention model. Supplemented with eating well, moving well and thinking well strategies, you have a great recipe for avoiding colds and earaches in the first place. In fact, patients and parents have often commented to me that since they or their child have begun care they rarely ever (if at all) get colds and earaches and when they do they “cure” themselves much faster.

Actually, when you look closely at the symptoms of a cold or earache, they are, in effect, the body’s attempt to cure itself. Ask yourself why do you sneeze, have a cough or run a fever during colds/earaches? What is your body trying to accomplish? Always remember your body will never stop looking out for your best interest....will you do the same for it? Think about it.
