What's a good recipe for cheese biscuits?

An easy recipe for delicious cheese biscuits.


  • 2 Cups all-purpose flour
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • 6 Tablespoons of butter
  • 1 cup sour milk or buttermilk
  • 1 cup grated cheese


  • Mix all dry ingredients together using pastry blender
  • Using pastry blender, blend in the butter
  • Stir in the grated cheese
  • Add the sour milk and stir until all dry ingredients are in a moist ball
  • Place on a floured surface and roll out until approximately 2cm thick
  • Cut into individual biscuits (makes about 12)
  • Bake at 450F for 12 minutes on middle shelf of oven
