Use them to keep focused and on top of your life and work and never lose that million dollar idea again!

You’re Goals

Have the bigger picture in your mind of what you want your life to look like and make a list of how you are going to get there. Here are some items to consider for your goal list:

In what direction do you want your business to go in?

Are there personal goals that you are setting for yourself in order to get to where you want your business to go?

Are there business and personal financial goals and by when do you want to achieve them

To quote Zig Ziglar: “What you get by achieving your goals is not as important as what you become by achieving your goals.”

Day to Day Tasks

This is the most interactive list where hopefully you are adding and crossing things off every day. They are the nitpicky things that if we don’t write down they will be forgotten about and possibly never completed but will continue to sit in the back of our minds taking up valuable space. What’s on that list?

  • Decluttering desk and creative areas
  • Organizing receipts and files
  • Picking up office supplies

”Fires can’t be made with dead embers, nor can enthusiasm be stirred by spiritless men. Enthusiasm in our daily work lightens effort and turns even labor into pleasant tasks.” James A. Baldwin

Creative Ideas

You know that brilliant idea you had that you just KNEW you’d remember later? How’s not writing that down working out for you? It could have had a positive impact on your business and others and now? Poof. Whenever a new idea comes to your mind, write it down! You will be surprised when you look back at what you wrote and there is something amazing that comes to life:

  • How to wow customers with better customer service
  • Fun ways to generate new leads
  • Blog post or social media ideas
  • Event themes or workshops
  • Napkins are great for those flashes of brilliance when you just can’t find your notebook.

“Without change there is no innovation, creativity, or incentive for improvement. Those who initiate change will have a better opportunity to manage the change that is inevitable.” William Pollard

Self-Improvements

We should be learning things every day. Why? Because everyHealthy Body has something they could work on. You don’t think so? Trust me: you can try to paddle that river of denial but if you haven’t learned to steer a canoe, you are going to go in circles. Take a look at these topics and see if one might get you thinking:

  • Leadership development
  • Creative exercises
  • Social media etiquette
  • Relaxation and meditation techniques
  • When you take some time to reflect on what you could be doing better (and that doesn’t mean you aren’t already doing a good job), then it provides inspiration for learning.

“The minute that you’re not learning I believe you’re dead.” Jack Nicholson

The Bucket List

In life we all need rewards and our bucket list can be our rewards to our self. The proof that we have big dreams that we want to achieve and are worth receiving. Buckets lists are for those things that you might never get to do but what a fun creative way of looking at what is possible:

  • Sky diving
  • Cooking class in Tuscany
  • Crash a wedding
  • Sing and dance on stage
  • Open my own business (yup – that could be on your bucket list!)

This is YOUR list. Your possibilities. Nothing is impossible but make sure some are achievable. Use this to reward yourself and set goals that just might recharge your energy. Go ahead and get your pen and paper and start writing!

As a huge foodie, this quote really resonated with me: “My way of discovering of what I like was to create a restaurant list and eat my way through it, and I call it my ‘inner fat girl bucket list.’” Nina Dobrev

One of the other perks of taking the time to write things down is when you get to check it off as done. It creates a great sense of accomplishment and you can see that you are moving forward. Who doesn’t like a list full of check marks? Here’s my bonus list to you. By using lists you can:

  • Clear your mind jam
  • Take steps towards achieving your goals
  • Learn new things
  • Reduce stress
  • Be more productive!

Now that’s a check mark worth list!

Namaste!
