What is the effect Dairy has on your body?

What dangers does the consumption of Dairy have on my body?

Dairy is one of the most common offenders on one’s body chemistry.  This certainly does not assume that everyone can not deal with dairy.  I know this firsthand from my mother as she has a body chemistry that can’t deal with eggs and cane sugar only, but is fine with dairy; and I personally can deal with certain “potato free” tested dairy products.

My warning though, is that like soy, even if you are not having a life long body chemistry issue to dairy, you may develop an allergy or what I call an immune backlash to eating it too much and for too long. There again are several foods in this category that act like very similar analogues to dairy in the body, even though directly they may not come from dairy at all.

All the foods on this list need to be avoided if you truly want to be “dairy free” as your body would digest them all just as poorly:

  • Cheese
  • Yogurt
  • Buttermilk
  • Whey
  • Lactose
  • Lactic acid
  • All lactylates
  • Casein
  • All caseinates (sodium caseinate, calcium caseinate)
  • Calcium diphosphate
  • Tricalcium phosphate
  • Calcium proprionate (added to foods like breads and tortillas to prevent molding).
  • Lactoferrin (added to meat to decrease E.Coli growth)
  • Many dairy-free items like milk alternatives, cheese alternatives and non-dairy creamers contain dairy based calcium or casein.Whey
  • Lactose
  • Lactic acid
  • All lactylates
  • Casein
  • All caseinates (sodium caseinate, calcium caseinate)
  • Calcium diphosphate

Tricalcium phosphate (all Calcium phosphates which are commonly found in commercial dairy free drinks) Calcium proprionate is added to foods like breads and tortillas to prevent molding. Lactoferrin can be added to meat to decrease E.Coli growth Many dairy-free items like milk alternatives, cheese alternatives and non-dairy creamers contain dairy based calcium or casein and this may be very difficult to realize based on the ingredient label.

MARKET TIP:  Even when you find a milk substitute that doesn’t have these words, be aware that many of them are just watered down nuts and grains and devoid of protein and nutrition in general.  Homemade almond milk can be a great alternative to commercial products (Found in my No Bloat Recipe Book).

WHAT OTHER FOODS ARE POSSIBLE AS A MORE TYPICAL BODY CHEMISTRY ISSUE?

There are many more foods and food combinations that can come up as a body chemistry issue, although they are often to a lesser percentage of the population. Here are just a few more of the combinations that can arise as a lifelong concern:

  • Egg
  • Meat
  •  Fish/Seafood
  • Soy
  • Corn
  • Cane Sugar when combined with Grain Grains
  • Grains when combined with Potato
  • Fruit
  • Walnuts
  • Apple
  • Buckwheat
  • Kamut
  • Pure Oats
  • Mine Salt (Versus Sea Salt)
