Ainsley is a counselling therapist in private practice in Wolfville, Nova Scotia.
Ainsley works with people who are going through transitions of one kind or another, such as:
- grieving the loss of loved ones,
- getting used to new living arrangements such as long term care or a university dormitory,
- coping with changes in health status or other unplanned changes that happen in everyday life.
Ainsley has a special interest in caregiving and care givers of all kinds. For the last 13 years she has developed and taught workshops for front line caregivers, on professional boundaries and giving to others sustainably.
In addition, Ainsley has a special interest in working with person's living with dementias and their care givers.
Ainsley is a Canadian Certifed Counsellor and a registered counselling therapist in the province of Nova Scotia.
In addition to one on one counselling services, Ainsley also leads workshops on responible caregiving and resilience and other selfcare topics for front line workers.
"My ongoing project is to find ways to treat and prevent compassion fatigue. I am passionate about helping people reclaim the joy and satisfaction of helping others that made them get into working with people in the first place."
