CUSTOM ORTHOTICS

At Healthy Steps, we take the unique step of combining the latest in technology with skilled craftsmanship and traditional orthotic manufacturing methods. We utilize the highest-quality materials best suited for orthotics, as well as industry-leading 3D laser scanning technology to create a completely accurate model of your foot. We can also use traditional plaster casting or foam box molding depending on the condition or foot structure in question. The result? The most comfortable orthotics possible.

BRACING & RECOVERY PRODUCTS

Our bracing and recovery products include but are not limited to:

  • Knee and ankle braces
  • Arch supports
  • Air casts
  • Foot care products
  • Kinesiology tape

While custom-made devices are often required, some patients benefit from using over-the-counter items, such as RockTape and Sole foot beds with custom modifications. These can offer effective treatment and may be more economical solutions to some mobility and health challenges.

COMPRESSION THERAPY

Why consider compression socks? There are many reasons, including:

  • Chronic venous disease
  • Deep vein thrombosis
  • Pregnancy
  • Embolism prevention
  • Improving blood flow in the legs
  • Lymphedema

Great for travelers, runners and other types of exercise, compression stockings are also worn daily to reduce swelling in the legs and feet and to help manage general aches and pains in the lower extremities throughout the day.

Some of the common conditions we treat include:

  • Plantar Fasciitis and other forms of heel pain
  • Metatarsalgia (pain at ball of foot)

Custom-made foot orthotics are prescribed by your physician when abnormal structures exist and are designed to treat the root of your symptoms. This type of orthotic can only be made from a 3D cast of the foot and is the most effective in providing long-term relief.

At Healthy Steps we are able to specifically design and build each orthotic from appropriate methods and materials depending on the pathology and needs of the patient.

FOOTWEAR

Wearing the right type of shoes will significantly help reduce the risk of injury and will help you to recover faster from injuries. Shoes are made in many different shapes and sizes and so are feet, the science is selecting the appropriate footwear to match your foot-type, biomechanics and lifestyle.

At Healthy Steps we take the time to educate you about your foot-type and individual biomechanics.
The goal is to provide you with the tools necessary to select healthy footwear.

In special cases when clients are unable to fit stock footwear, custom-made footwear can be prescribed by your physician. A biomechanical assessment is performed, your feet are casted using a three dimensional technique and your footwear is made from raw materials.

Most conditions are treated with well-crafted orthotics and proper fitting footwear.

MANUFACTURING FACILITIES

At Healthy Steps we own and operate our own manufacturing facility on-site at our main clinic. This added advantage provides patients with fast turnaround times and unmatched quality control. At Healthy Steps we are able to specifically design and build each orthotic from appropriate methods and materials depending on the pathology and needs of the patient.
