Eye Exams - Comprehensive eye exams for patients as young as 6 months old to 100+ years old. Includes evaluation for prescription glasses and examination of the health of the eyes.
Contact Lens Fittings - For the patient that doesn't want to wear glasses. We fit soft lenses, toric or lenses for astigmatism, multifocal lenses for the patients over 40 having trouble seeing in the distnce and at near. We also do specialty fits for hard lenses and patients with keratoconus.
Cataract Evaluation - Determine if you have cataracts. We educate the patient on the overall benefits of cataract surgery and review possible options that patients have. We refer patients out to ophthalmologists for the procedure itself but will complete post-operative care as needed.
LASIK consultations - Determine if you're a candidate for laser refractive surgery (LASIK and other procedures to help correct vision). We complete the pre-test work as well as post-operative care so you don't have to travel for every appointment.
Glaucoma Management - Will assess and determine the risk for potential glaucoma with visual field analysis, retinal photos to monitor progression and various other testing needed for the proper management and care for glaucoma patients and will treat as necessary.
Dry Eye Care and evualtion - Do your eyes sting, burn, irritate, and/or get red on regular basis? This could be a sign of dry eye which can be caused from multiple facets, such as low tear production, poor tear quality, or poor environmental factors. We assess dry eye from a patient to patient basis and will determinet the proper course of action.
Binocular Vision / Vision Therapy / Children's Vision Assessment - Assessment of childrens' vision that checks for strabismus (eye turns / eye alignment / wondering eye), focusing issues, reading abilities, stereo vision (depth perception), amblyopia (lazy eye). These checks are most important for school age children but are also checked in adults as well.
Macular Degeneration Assessment - Many patients have troubles with central vision which could be the result of macular degeneration. We assess and evaluate the macula (the region in the eye responsible for sharp 20/20 central vision) with autofluorescence and retinal photos.
Visual Fields/Automated Perimeter - Used for many purposes, including driving assessments, glaucoma, strokes, high blood pressure, multiple sclerosis (MS), raised intracranial pressure, pituitary tumours and other brain masses or lesions
Retinal Photos/Autofluorescence Photos - Used to view and assess the retinal tissues, including the arteries, veins, optic nerve, and macula. We review the photos and compare from year to year for any changes that may occur.
