Ever since receiving a book entitled “Aromatherapy, Massage, and Yoga,” from my mother as a gift when I was 11 years old I have had a deep interest in the human body and health. In 2010, after graduating from the 2200-hour MacEwan University Massage Therapy program, I began practicing Massage Therapy and seeing firsthand the benefits that it brings to people not only physically, but emotionally and mentally as well. From 2010 to 2012, I was fortunate to work with the amazing therapists at Alberta Momentum Massage Therapy, it was there that I honed my skills and truly discovered the art of massage therapy. Since 2013, I have owned and operated Soma Massage Therapy, and have watched it blossom and grow into something that I could have never imagined!
In addition to massage therapy, I have also completed a Bachelor of Science degree, with a major in psychology and a minor in chemistry. My educational background has provided me with many valuable attributes including critical thinking skills, scientific inquiry, and the ability to both understand and produce valid research articles. Throughout my degree, I was fortunate enough to participate in many enriching experiences such as conducting research projects, grading assignments for the Mathematics and Statistics Department, and completing a summer internship with the DAAD in a pharmaceutical chemistry laboratory in Münster, Germany.
When I am not doing massage therapy, I enjoy cuddling with my two cats, taking a myriad of exercise classes, preparing for the weekly radio show that I co-host on CJSR 88.5FM, and eating good food with my better half.
I hope that my diverse background and my wealth of experience will make me a good fit for working with you.
I look so forward to helping you achieve your health goals and providing you with the countless benefits of effective massage therapy.
