Jana has experience working in community, school, private practice, and clinical settings, and also has an extensive research background. She has been involved in numerous studies of child development and parental mental health, and her graduate and undergraduate thesis research explored relationships between mindfulness and psychological well-being.
Jana has a particular interest in adolescent and young adult mental health, but works with individuals of all ages experiencing various difficulties that may be negatively impacting their well-being and quality of life. These include, but are not limited to, struggles related to depression, anxiety, stress, disordered eating, self-esteem, and life transitions. In her work with clients, Jana is guided by a primarily person-centered perspective and adapts her approach according to each individual’s unique needs.
