Acupuncture is a treatment technique that employs the use of fine needles at specific sites on the body for the purposes of diagnosing and treating pain and disease. It is based on ancient knowledge that was collected over many centuries by the Chinese over 2000 years ago.
It causes the body to release endorphins, naturally produced morphine within our bodies. It can be used to treat addictions, pain relief, and regulating body systems that are out of balance.
Very fine needles of varying lengths are inserted into specific areas of the body that are known to affect specific problem conditions and regions. The needles are left in approximately twenty minutes while the individual is sitting or lying down. Needles are not necessarily placed in the specific site of pain. The tip is designed to pierce the skin with ease and the needles are finer than hypodermic needles, causing less trauma to the skin. Generally the process is repeated five to six times in order to see if a given effect has been achieved.

CranioSacral therapy is an extremely gentle form of therapy that is used to balance the fluid distribution in the central nervous system. This fluid, known as cerebral spinal fluid is located within and around the brain and spinal chord. The bones and connective tissue of the skull and spine can become tacked down, thus restricting circulation of the fluid to the necessary regions. This therapy allows a very gentle mobilization of the bones and connective tissue in order to restore proper fluid balance to the compromised locations.
