What if you’re unable to get in touch with a coworker? What if you need something from your office that you can’t get access to? What if you’re constantly slowing down due to other in-home distractions like pets, family members and electronics? It’s all about creating boundaries between work and personal life, and that can be a difficult adjustment. Here are some tips for telecommuting, working from home, self-isolating or even self-quarantining—no matter your reasoning.1) Stick to a schedule– It’s easy to get distracted with house-related chores when working from home, so it’s extremely helpful to set a schedule and follow that as closely as possible. It can be a mental booster when you get your daily tasks done on time, which also allows you to spend more time with your family. 2) Take breaks – As humans, we only tend to pay attention for a short period at a time, so taking breaks in between our work can help relax the mind and bring some mental clarity. Take a 10-minute power-walk, have a phone call with a loved one, go sit on your porch for a few minutes, or something else that helps you relax. 3) ‘Virtually’ socialize with friends & family – Just because you’re isolated at home doesn’t mean you can’t get some face-time with your friends and loved ones. Thanks to video conferencing tools like FaceTime, Skype, Whatsapp, it’s now easier than ever to see and talk with people anywhere in the world. If you feel overwhelmed due to your working from home situation and are struggling with a physical issue, get in touch with us and we can schedule you in for an online therapy session with one of our physiotherapist. We’re always here to help!Warmest regards, ProActive Rehab
