I have been counselling people in situations of deep crisis and individual need since 1981. I have extensive experience in providing support to individuals in a very wide range of situations and circumstances, including, but not restricted to, those outlined in the section below entitled “Types of Issues Clients Bring into My Office”.
In Halton Region, I have therapeutic experience with a broad range of clients at Halton Family Services and North Halton Mental Health Clinic.
I am a Clinical Member of the Ontario Society of Psychotherapists. I have a varied graduate education in counselling and psychotherapy at the Master's and post-Master's levels. I hold two Masters' degrees (one in the social sciences from University of Toronto; one from University of Western Ontario, with a specialization in counselling). I have done a large amount of post-Master's academic and internship work in a variety of settings, including coursework in the Grief and Bereavement Program of the Adler School of Psychology, the Toronto Institute for Pastoral Training and other additional coursework in trauma and sexuality at the Adler School of Psychology. I have also completed clinical internship and practicum training at the Toronto Western Hospital and Homewood Health Centre, a mental health and addiction care facility in Guelph, Ontario.
I have done additional post-masters training in a range of clinical and psychotherapy settings, including psychoanalytic studies and group work at the Centre for Training in Psychotherapy in Toronto.
I am currently undertaking extensive on-going training in Jungian analysis through the Ontario Association of Jungian Analysts (where I am a candidate in the final, Diploma Phase of the Analyst Training Program).

I am frequently asked, “What kind of clients come to see you, and what kinds of things do they talk about with you?” I think that the best way to answer that question is to share some typical stories.
In a way, all the issues on the way to wholeness in a person's life are interconnected. However, different issues come to the fore depending on the life circumstances and personality of the individual, and this is reflected in the stories that appear below, and in the unique story of each individual who comes to see me.
