Whatever comes up during our sessions, there is light at the end of the tunnel. I have been a witness to it, and I can tell you it is healing. The important element in my sessions is that we have trust and a connection to work together. That is why I offer no-charge consultations, so we can establish this when we first speak. Following both modern therapeutic methods as well as more global and Indigenous modalities, I help others to un-cover what they come to know. During our sessions, as we discover more about you, this information informs me to choose the best approach/method to hold you while you uncover your truth.
The focus of the healing process is the restoration of relationships that have become out of balance. As a counsellor, one is a supporter in a shared experience of learning and growing, with assessments usually being completed by the person being helped. I use questions, storytelling, humour, modelling, somatic modalities, parts therapy, and other proven methods to raise your awareness of your wholeness and interrelationships within life. When called, I use the healing power of hypnosis for connecting within ourselves: spiritual, mental, physical, and emotional. I use a two-eyed approach of both Ericksonian and Indigenous knowledge when using hypnosis, as well as much as possible during our sessions.

In my private practice, I work one-to-one, in groups, and online with clients from all over the world, guiding others to un-cover possibilities and paths to life. In terms of my recognized titles, I am a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor, a Counselling Hypnotherapist, a Hypnotherapy Teacher, and a Member of the Psychodynamic Association of Canada. When asked, I am a helper with ceremonial medicine, in gratitude to the Balinese and Cree knowledge keepers that have mentored me, guided me, and protected me as I learned what I can do and what I am still learning to do. My studies include an Advanced Counselling Skills Diploma, an Advanced Bachelor’s degree, and a graduate degree-a Post Baccalaureate Graduate Diploma. I am a Compassionate Inquiry Practitioner, a 240-hour, year-long, graduate level training in a psychotherapy mental health approach developed by Gabor Mate. I am also a Humanistic Neuro-Linguistic Programming Practitioner as well as a Master Practitioner of NLP. At present, my primary focus outside my practice is coaching mental health support workers and consulting around counselling and assessments within Aboriginal Services.
I have attended numerous other training in mental health, trauma, personal development, plant medicine and psychedelic integration, dream work, career and organizational development, to name only a few. I have also taken university graduate courses in financial planning, organizational development, and leadership. I have studied French (I am a bit of a Francophile), Spanish, Italian, German, Hungarian and Japanese. I am a lifelong learner and love to learn. My inspirations are work, travel, people, and deep curiosity. My personal journey, like you, includes growth both by default as well as by design, and inspires me to continue learning from knowledge keepers in meditation, qi-dong, spirit world, nature, ceremony, and overall how to live life from old knowledge into the present day.
I also draw from over 26 years of professional experience as a consultant, college instructor, a global coach and trainer, integrated with my practice. I work with people from all corners of the globe on-line and in-person training. I work, live, and create my responses in my daily life, whether I am in a business office, another country, or learning with my business, life and shamanic teachers.
I look forward to meeting you!
Group Therapy
As someone who has been focused on helping people awaken to living their life path, I am always curious when some of us, time and time again, shut ourselves off from new possibilities and new choices to create the life we genuinely want.
Over four decades of studies with people who were dying clearly show that the reasons we do not live our lives from purpose comes from our unconscious, step by step choices-and that when we are ready to leave this planet, only then do some of us realize that we did not take the responsibility so that we could take the power we always had to live the life we were meant to live. Individual Coaching and Counselling
While both coaching and counselling are practices dedicated to enabling you to create positive changes and outcomes in your life, it is important to make some distinctions. For example, life coaching is often attached to the measured success of key life performance outcomes as well as to behavioural goals and observable outcomes. On the other hand, counselling is more of an exploration into why you have the symptoms, behaviours and life patterns that you do. And to do that requires exploration into both the conscious and unconscious workings of your mind. Read more...
Hypnotherapy
Hypnosis is promoted as a treatment for many conditions and issues. Research does provide support for using hypnosis for some, but not all, of the conditions for which many of us know it is used for.
Unlike how many of us have seen hypnosis portrayed, you do not lose control over your behavior while under hypnosis during a hypnotherapy session.. Most importantly, you generally remain aware of and can recall what happens during your hypnotherapy sessions. Read more...
Psychotherapy and Trauma Counselling
To cope and come to terms with not being able to fully express and be ourselves, not yet with a mature system of psychological defenses, children develop adaptations and attachments to those around them no matter the sacrifice they must make. They will do this to a degree rarely seen in adults.
Over time, it is completely understandable for a child to develop a whole set of behaviours to get out of those states because no one is helping manage them. Further, this pattern of self regulation becomes our coping patterns, which becomes our personalities. Read more...

Plant Medicine and Psychedelic Integration
As well, we are brought through a process that can show us the heart of our vulnerability, ego and essence. This leaves many in a sensitive state, coupled with a lot to process. And left on our own, it can be daunting, confusing and sometimes very emotionally scary.
I am here to tell you that everything that you have experienced can be integrated. Most importantly, all of it can be applied in new ways that will give you a power of self and essence that is truly liberating. Read more...
Urban Shaminism
Traditional shamanism is the modern term for what all of our ancestors did at some point, use ancient traditional healing methods to bring deeper meaning, healing, and truth to our lives. These proven traditions exist today, and need our appreciation, respect, and support as they struggle against colonialism, corporatism, and new age attempts at incorporation. One can walk in a traditional path, when accepted and taught on an as needed basis by the knowledge keepers of that tradition. Read more...
