Dr. Carrie Snaychuk grew up in Kelowna, where the majority of her free time was filled playing team sports. She fell in love with basketball and played three seasons collegiately. During her education, she spent ten summers working as a wildland firefighter for the BC Wildfire Service. Between basketball and fire-fighting, she became focused on her own pursuit of peak performance. Witnessing the multitude of physiological hurdles that she, her teammates, and fellow crew members had to face in their same pursuit, ultimately fueled her passion of helping others reach their performance goals.
Dr. Snaychuk graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor's degree in Human Kinetics. She continued her studies in Toronto at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, where she graduated with honours. Throughout the program, she contributed to many of the school's extra-curricular clubs, including the basketball, squash, and run clubs.
Dr. Snaychuk has additional training in the treatment of spinal stenosis, osteoarthritis, functional biomechanics, and nerve entrapment conditions. Her treatments consist of manual spinal and extremity joint adjustments/mobilizations, soft tissue therapy, strength and mobility exercises, as well as nutritional counseling. She uses an evidence-based approach to find sustainable, long-term solutions for each individual she sees. Whether you're seeking injury recovery/prevention, improved performance, or simply pain-free movement, each session with Carrie will be tailored to your goals.
When she's not in the clinic, you can find her hiking, running or mountain biking the local trails, learning to fly fish, and trying to grow the odd vegetable.
