I am a fully licensed naturopathic physician in good standing with the CNPBC, and I hold board certifications in intravenous therapy, chelation therapy, acupuncture, naturopathic cardiovascular life support (NCLS)/first aid, and prescriptive authority.
I grew up in Winnipeg, Manitoba on an urban farm. My grandparents started a hobby farm in the 1940’s, and as residential housing was slowly built up around them they were forced to sell off much of their land. Fortunately, they managed to keep a small piece that grew into a plentiful garden surrounded by oak trees, where I was fortunate enough to learn to appreciate life, and nature.
It was there that I developed a strong sense of family, and a keen understanding of the importance of our relationship with the natural world. Our summers were spent eating food from the garden, and preserving it for the winter months. Weekends were spent outside at national parks, and cottages as much as possible.
I graduated from the University of Manitoba with a bachelor’s degree in microbiology, and I then studied for four years at the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine.
I’ve personally experienced how nature can positively impact your life, and it is my mission as a naturopathic physician to share my knowledge with you though high quality integrative care. I work alongside other health care professionals and advocate for my patients so they receive the best care possible.
I practice primary care family medicine, and I also have special areas of interest in the immune system (linked to autoimmune diseases, skin conditions, chronic infections, and the human microbiome), and in helping first responders optimize their health to prevent conditions and challenges common to their jobs. Of course, I am more than happy to treat anyone who comes to see me. I look forward to meeting you!
