Dr. Alexandria Brinkhurst-Bauer is a licensed Naturopathic Physician practicing in the heart of Downtown Vancouver.
"My office is shared with a close friend and colleague, Dr. Sean Jackson ND, and together we have affectionately named our space “Nook”. With Nook, we strive to make a comfortable, safe, and enjoyable atmosphere so our patients can feel at ease while diving into all matters of health. I utilize a holistic approach to medicine to uncover the root cause of illness while using the least invasive treatment required for each case. My practice is general, meaning I enjoy seeing patients from all walks of life and providing support throughout a person’s lifespan. Appointment types often consist of an annual physical exam with routine lab work to monitor health while addressing specific concerns as they come up.
Wanting to stay in BC, I attended the University of British Columbia (UBC) in Vancouver, completing a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology. During that time, I was one of four students selected to represent UBC at the Universitas 21 conference, “Cities and Citizens in the Digital Age”, in Glasgow, Scotland. Collaborating with a diverse group of academics from around the world was the highlight of my undergraduate years. After graduating from UBC, I was accepted into a four-year doctoral program at the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine in New Westminster. After 4800 hours of academics, 1200 hours of clinical training, 100 professional development hours and 125 hours spent precepting with other doctors, I graduated as a doctor of naturopathic medicine."
