The seeds of inspiration to become a Naturopathic Doctor were planted for Dr. Wright during her first career as a professional dancer. This afforded her extensive travel where she was exposed to a diversity of cultures and health care paradigms. Her desire for excellence in health and performance sparked a curiosity for nutrition and global herbal medicines.
Not one to go half the distance, she set her sights on a doctoral degree. Her undergraduate degree is in Psychology with research interests in the field of Psychoneuroimmunolgy - study of the relationship between the immune, endocrine, and nervous systems. In essence, the study of holism and interconnectedness of all parts of a person and how stress effects all aspects of a person’s health. She is also a certified yoga teacher.
During her Naturopathic education, Dr. Wright found herself immersed in an intensive healing process herself. She has “walked the talk” in many areas her patients find themselves in need of education and guidance. A strong foundation of empathy, compassion and deep caring, is a gift she gives generously. Her patients are seen, heard, and armed with her wisdom to confidently make decisions for themselves- to find the healer within. Often delivered with a good hearty laugh.
Dr. Wright has guided women through hormonal transitions for over two decades, and has experienced many herself. Receiving a skin cancer diagnosis at a young age, her interest in Integrative Dermatology blossomed from a personal interest in how to heal and prevent diseases of the skin into a field of interest in her practice. There is a marriage of modern science and the steadfast and true traditions of natural medicines that can heal many skin care concerns. Elapro Med is a devise she currently utilizes.
